Chairs for the committees will meet prior to next month’s meeting and be ready to present on committee decisions.
What would be the best way to get the word out about meetings and how to help? Monthly newsletters, School websites – What’s Happening Today?, Helena IR for Community Meetings, main office emails, Facebook. Team sports can send out to an email/text to senior parents on the team.
Where do we want to spend the money?
Prizes and food. Past years have had a prize for every student minimum dollar amount of $25.00. Something usable that kids will want. Prizes for games, door prizes, grand prize $2017.00
There is a company out of Great Falls who we have reserved to do all of the games. Darby will check with the company out of Butte to see if they are available.
Card tables, poker games are not provided by the company providing games. Volunteers will run this.
Darby will meet with Jennifer to get banking account signers transferred to Darby and Kathleen (Treasurer).
Aloha/Hawaiian Theme – everyone in agreement.
There was a suggestion to go and look in the shed to see what decorations are left from past years.
Website – Darrell will build a new website and host it – old one does not work on smartphones. Cost for website will be ~$9.00/year. We will need a new domain name, Darrell will determine domain name. A link to the website can be linked to the Facebook page and vice versa. Will work on tablets/smart phones. A link to a sign up site for tickets or volunteers could be options.
Binders – Now that we have more committee chairs binders will be located and distributed to chairs.
We need Chairs for Security and Publicity. We also need a Co-Chair from Helena High.
Next meeting will be in the cafeteria at Capital High school from 5:30-7:00
